Once upon a time, there was a kind and beautiful girl named Cinderella who lived with her cruel stepmother and stepsisters. They made her do all the chores and treated her poorly, but Cinderella remained kind and hopeful.
One day, the king announced that he was throwing a ball for all the eligible maidens in the kingdom, and Cinderella dreamed of attending. Her stepmother forbade her from going, but with the help of her fairy godmother, Cinderella was able to attend the ball in a beautiful gown and glass slippers.
However, she had to leave before midnight, and in her haste, she left behind one of her glass slippers.
The prince searched the entire kingdom for the owner of the glass slipper, and when he arrived at Cinderella's house, her stepsisters tried to claim it as their own. But when Cinderella tried on the slipper, it fit perfectly, and the prince knew she was the one he had been searching for.
Cinderella and the prince were married and lived happily ever after, while her stepmother and stepsisters were left to regret their cruel behavior.
